Norma Addis Brown

Norma Addis Brown, 91, of Cowpens, met her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. She was a faithful member of Westside Baptist Church of Cowpens, where she was a member of the choir for many years. Norma always had a smile on her face and loved her family with every inch of her heart. She enjoyed working outdoors in her yard and filling her families with delicious home cooked meals. 

Norma was born on January 2, 1934, in Cherokee County, a daughter of the late Tom and Fannie Addis. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Lewis “Bill” Brown and a daughter, Glenna. She was the last surviving sibling of 5 brothers and 4 sisters. 

She leaves behind her three precious children, Vickie Steadman (Wayne), Connie Hewitt (Michael) and Curt Brown. She was the loving grandmother (MawMaw) of Monica Quinn (Bobby), Trevor Hewitt (Leslie) and Blake Hewitt. She had 5 great-grandchildren, Jacob Quinn (Madison), Jessica Foster (Kent), Emma Hewitt, Deacon Hewitt and Stevie Hewitt; and 4 great-great-grandchildren, Noah, Noah B, Elijah and Aubrey. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 pm Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Westside Baptist Church, 4487 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm, in the church sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Travis Blackwell. Burial will be in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery, 650 Battleground Road, Cowpens, SC 29330. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Trevor Hewitt, Blake Hewitt, Michael Hewitt, Greg Brown, Ricky Carr and Bobby Martin. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westside Baptist Church, PO Box 1497, Cowpens, SC 29330.
