Nora Youngblood Quinn Olson, passed away on November 7, 2024, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at the age of 90. Born on February 7, 1934, in Union, South Carolina, to the late, William Youngblood and Virgie Petty Youngblood.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nora cherished her family deeply. She took great pride in being well-dressed and put together, a reflection of her vibrant and caring spirit. Nora found joy in baking, especially cakes, which brought her family together. She dedicated her time to volunteering for Mobile Meals, serving those in need in her community.
Nora was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she made lasting connections and friendships. Her active participation in her bridge club was another commitment to strong relationships throughout her life.
Nora is survived by her son, Donnie E. Quinn (Dianne) of Columbia, SC; her daughter, Rhonda Q. Roberts (Dale) of Spartanburg, SC; her grandchildren, Angela M. Hines of Spartanburg, Shea A. Roberts (Tonya) of Moore, Michelle R. Patton (Lyle) of Boiling Springs, and Sydney P. Doomey (Ryan) of Chapin; and her great-grandchildren, Josie Roberts (Tyler), Storm Eshleman, Kadence Roberts, Cole Patton, River Hines, Quinnley Patton, Lakelon Hines, Emerson Doomey and Wesley Doomey. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Y. O'Dell.
Nora preceded her husband, Richard "Dick" F. Olson, with whom she shared 34 wonderful years of marriage, and her sister, Helen Y. Black.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:45 am on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel followed by the burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, services will be officiated by the Rev. Ricky Howell.
In honor of Nora Olson the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Association, https://act.alz.org/donate; flowers will be accepted for funeral service.
A special thanks would like to be given to Nora's devoted caretakers, Mitzi and Terri.
Nora will be remembered for her love, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of all who knew her.
