Nicos Michael

Nick Michael, 76, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 10, 1935, in Famagusta, Cyprus, he was the son of the late Michael and Kalliope Solomou Anastasi. Nick was the retired owner of Jupiter Knitting Mill and a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Survivors include his beloved wife, Helen Michael; a son, Leon Michael and wife Lynne of Moore; daughters, Lucy M. Ramantanin of Spartanburg, Kalliope Michael and Tim Jackson of Inman, and Niki M. Mullis and husband David of Inman; grandchildren, Maria Ramantanin, Cannon Mullis, Gracie Michael, Jameson Mullis, and Aniston Jackson; and four sisters, all of Cyprus. Visitation will be 6:30-8:00 PM Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, with a Trisagion Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, August 8, 2011, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, conducted by the Rev. George F. Nayfa. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary Escort is Husein Kapasi. Pallbearers are David Mullis, Tim Jackson, Eddie Marzouca, Asad Marzouca, Talib Kapasi, Mustan Kapasi, and Danny Osswald.
