Nicholas Panayiotis Lambroukos, 87, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. He was born July 4, 1934 in Marathous, Arkadias, Greece, a son to the late Panayiotis and Triantafili Anastopoulos Lambroukos. He was married to the late Margaret Allas Lambroukos.
Nick was the retired owner of the Minuet Restaurant and the Piedmont Steak House. When Nick came to Spartanburg, he worked with the City of Spartanburg Survey Team. He was a veteran of the Greek Army and was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
He is survived by his former wife, Opal Dowling; and his two sisters in Greece, Georgia Gionis and Katherine Mazaris. Nick was predeceased by his siblings, Aglaia Kargiatlis, Phillip, Harry and Charles Lambroukos.
The family will receive friends 10:30-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 697 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Church Sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. George F. Nayfa. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 1107, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
