Nettie Read

Nettie Lou Read, 85, formerly of Heritage Courts went to be with her Lord on March 6, 2011 at Woodruff Manor in Woodruff, SC. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Watson and Bretta Worley Read. Affectionately known as "Nettie Buddy", many families entrusted her to care for their children. She was a former volunteer serving in the flower room at SRMC and a member of Bethel UMC. She is survived by nieces, including caregivers, Judy (Ken) Carter and Joyce (Ralph) Veytia; nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brothers Otto, T.W., Wilbur, Billy and Aaron; and a sister, Margaret Read West. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 11, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. David Smith.
