Nena Davis

Nena Marguerite Stevens Davis, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, March 30, 2015. Born May 13, 1925, in Roebuck, SC, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Greenleaf Stevens and Bernice Huckabee Stevens. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Harold Clement Davis, who served in the SC House of Representatives and on the Spartanburg County Board of Education. A graduate of Roebuck High School and Winthrop University, Mrs. Davis retired from teaching with Spartanburg County Schools. She was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church and the Alma Mae Hudson Sunday School Class. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. A cryptside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Kelly Belcher. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fernwood Baptist Church, 200 Fernwood Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
