Nellie Mcabee

Nellie Jane McAbee, 92, of 865 Iron Ore Road, died Friday, March 26, 2010, at Wallace Thompson Hospital in Union. Born August 15, 1917, in Glendale, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grover Ables and Gertrude Agnes Parks and the widow of Clarence Wilborn McAbee. She was a homemaker and member of Whitney Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Ruby Mae Rhodes of Fletcher, NC; a sister in law, Ruby Conard of Chesnee; eight nephews; and four nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, Mige, Aaron ,and James Conard. Graveside services will be held as 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery on Bryant Road. Visitation will follow at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, P. O. Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
