Nell Stubblefield

Thelma Nell Evans Stubblefield, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at White Oak Manor-Spartanburg. Born February 19, 1933, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late William Benjamin and Alice Jeannettie Fleming Evans. Mrs. Stubblefield was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and the Bertie Anthony Sunday School Class. Surviving is her beloved husband of 65 years, Louis Donald Stubblefield Sr.; son, Michael T. Stubblefield of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Jackie Black of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Michael, Seth, Dusty, Shaun, Carmen, Candice, Andrew, and Lindsey; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Campbell of Wilmington, NC, and Martha Mullinax of Spartanburg, SC. She was predeceased by a son, Louis Donald Stubblefield Jr.; and a daughter, Tammi S. Henderson. Visitation will be 12:00 noon-1:00 PM Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Zion Hill Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Keith Davis and the Rev. Michael Stubblefield.
