Nell Purser

Nell Ann Littlefield Purser, 85, of Campobello, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Inman. Born November 2, 1925, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Matt and Nell Atkison Littlefield, and wife of the late Roland Paul Purser. Nell was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, a member of Gold Star Wives, and a private caregiver. She was a graduate of Inman High School Class of 1942. Survivors include her daughters, Paula Anne (Frank) West of Campobello, SC, and Martha Jo (Ralph) Amick of Fayetteville, NC; a son, David R. (Anne) Purser of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Chuck West of Campobello, SC, Dana White of Marion, SC, Deborah Williams of Athens, GA, Paul McCracken of Fayetteville, NC, Gina Skinner and Josh Purser, both of Boiling Springs, SC; twelve great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jim Littlefield of Campobello. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, July 22, 2011 at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Sunset Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Bill Adams and the Rev. Sal Barone. The family is at their respective homes.
