Nathan Hale Brady, Jr., 87, of Spartanburg, died Monday, September 12, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born August 25, 1924, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Nathan Hale Brady, Sr. and Leila West Brady. Mr. Brady was a WWII veteran of the U. S. Navy in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. He was a member of Arcadia Baptist Church, the Arcadia Masonic Lodge #285, and retired from Southern Railroad. Survivors include his loving wife, Thelma Thompson Brady; his son, Wayne Brady and wife Joyce of Inman; his daughter, Judy Brady Lane of Fairforest; grandson, Matthew Mosley and wife Lathrop of Inman; sister, Myrtle Barnes of Gaffney; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 14 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 11:30 - 12:30 PM Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. F. Ed Traxler, Jr. and the Rev. Joe Dempsey.
