Nannie Ellison

Nannie Faye Ellison, 89, of Pacolet Mills, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Magnolia Place. Born October 26, 1920 in Pacolet Mills, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lester Lee and Bessie Horne Pierce and the wife of the late Edward Earl Ellison. She was a former dietitian at Pacolet Junior High School and was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Maureen "Marty" Moore and husband Richard of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Kay Hardcastle and husband Scott of Spartanburg; and a great-granddaughter, Savannah Hardcastle of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Ernest, and Foye Pierce; and two sisters, Bernice McClure and Billie Minesal. Visitation will be 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Chapel, conducted by Rev. Harold Patton. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Activity Department of Magnolia Place, 8020 White Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
