**Obituary**
In loving memory of Nanette Finney, who departed from this world on March 11, 2024, at her home. Nanette was born on September 25, 1948, and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her kindness, dedication, and vibrant spirit.
Nanette dedicated her career as a Teacher's Aide with Vocational Rehabilitation and served as an Interpreter for the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind. Her passion for helping others and making a difference in their lives shone brightly through her work.
Those who knew Nanette will always cherish the memories they shared with her. She had a special love for drying her clothes outside and the joy on her face when she sipped SWEET tea, and that's a big no-no. Nanette found simple pleasures in life like sitting on the porch on a beautiful day, enjoying a glass of unsweetened ice tea, knitting, and listening to John Starnes. Described as stubborn yet full of life, Nanette had a great sense of humor akin to that of a talented comedian. She lived life on her own terms, embracing every moment with joy and laughter.
Nanette is preceded in death by her very much loved husband Lewis Norville Finney, beloved father, William Stanley Pollard, and mother, Robenita Norman. She is survived by her son William Finney, daughter Michelle Ledger, brothers Del Pollard, and Mike Pollard, granddaughters Haley (Hunter) Wood, Emily Finney, Melanie Ledger, grandsons Austin Ledger and Travis Ledger along with great-granddaughters Waverly Wood, Mariah King, and Jada King.
The funeral service to honor Nanette's life will be held on March 19th 2:00 p.m. at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel in Spartanburg. A visitation will also take place on March 19th at the same location at 1:00 p.m. to celebrate the beautiful life lived by Nanette Marie Finney.
May her soul rest in peace as her memory lives on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
