Nancy Carol Hyatt, 44, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Born November 23, 1964, in Florence, SC, she was the daughter of Frank Hyatt and the late Bobbie Jean Price Hyatt. She was a graduate of the McCarthy/Teszler School, attended USC-Upstate, and was employed at the Charles Lea Workability Center. Nancy was a former member of the Cannon Manor Garden Club, sponsored by the Tuesday Reading and Garden Club of Spartanburg, the Spartanburg Halter Program, Girl Scouts of America, People First Program of Charles Lea, and a happy recipient of love and activities from Wofford College volunteers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and attended the Special Needs Sunday School Class at Bethel United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her father is a brother, Rev. Dr. Wayne F. Hyatt and his wife Diane K. Hyatt, and three nieces, Kaylie Marie Hyatt, Lindy Nicole Hyatt, and Shelley Renee Hyatt, all of Spartanburg; and her Charles Lea family, Laura Deal, Polly Gilliam, Meredith MacDowell, and all the workers who loved and cared for her. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone and the Rev. Bill Adams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charles Lea Center Foundation, 195 Burdette Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307; or to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615. The family is at the home of her brother, 306 Sundance Way, Spartanburg.
