Nancy Hill Williams, 81, of Gaffney, SC, died Sunday, January 19, 2014, at her home. Born September 15, 1932, in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late George William Hill, former Gaffney Chief of Police, and the late Florence Hammett Hill. She was the widow of Herbert H. Williams. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A 1954 graduate of Winthrop College, Mrs. Williams was retired from Clemson University Extension Service as a nutrition educator, after 42 years of service. She had a cooking show in the mid to late 1960's on WSPA Channel 7, "Cooking with Nancy". She was a member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Gaffney. Survivors include a large number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. A cryptside service was conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 23, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Tommy Wright. Visitation followed at the cryptside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302. The family is at the home.
