Nancy Gowan

Nancy Lee Gowan, 77, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, November 6, 2016, at her home. Born August 1, 1939, in Whitney, SC, she was the daughter of the late W. T. and Lois Willard Gowan. Nancy was a member of Olivia Baptist Church in Dalton, GA and retired from Mohawk Industries. Survivors include her son, Jerry Chapman (Denise) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Kara Ohnheiser (Matt), Kristi Wright (Matt), and Katie Hendrix (Vince); six grandchildren; and brothers, Ronald Gowan and Eber Gowan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Sherry Chapman; and three brothers, Richard, Jack, and James Gowan. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Bruce Beach.
