Nancy Garland

Nancy Graves Garland, 74, of 124 Coldstream Drive, Boiling Springs, died Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Inman, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Kiah Graves and Cora Maude Brown Graves. She was a member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church, where she taught kindergarten Sunday school for a number of years. With her great heart for helping others, Nancy loved the clothing ministry for the needy. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Robert Marion Garland; sons, Steve Garland (Karen) of Greenville, SC, Gene Garland of Boiling Springs, SC, and Scott Garland (Kim) of Jackson, TN; daughters, Kay Dickerson (Bill) of Irmo, SC and Sheila Tombs (Ken) of Inman, SC; grandchildren, Mary Kathryn, Maria, Allie, Bill, Chris, Nicole, Stacie, Jess, Zack, Tiffany, and Lauren; great-granddaughter, Natalia; brothers, Roy Graves (Nancy) of Bloomington, MN, Cleon Graves (Doris) of Boiling Springs, SC, Billy Graves (Jo) of Boiling Springs, SC; sister, Marlene Shultz (Dwight) of Lincolnton, NC. She was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Graves, and daughter-in-law, Jenny Garland. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, January 27, 2014, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy. 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Highway 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, conducted by the Rev. Danny Garrett, the Rev. Ronnie Norris, and the Rev. Ralph Brown. Memorials may be made to Cudd Memorial Baptist Church, 1301 Boiling Springs Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
