Nancy Carpenter FitzSimmons, 79, of 110 Summit Hills Drive, died Friday, April 30, 2010, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born October 10, 1930, in Hamlin, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Luana Barrow Carpenter. She was employed with the Prince William School System in Manassas, VA, a practical nurse, and a member of Central United Methodist Church. She loved quilting and sewing. Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Richard Earl FitzSimmons; three children, Richard Robert FitzSimmons and his wife Kathleen of Dahlgren, VA, LuAnn F. Fisher and her husband Jack of Marshall, VA, and the Rev. Scott Earl FitzSimmons and his wife Rebecca of Easley; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Luther H.
