Nancy Elizabeth Williams, was born on September 6, 1957, in Charleston, SC; a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, departed this world on December 13, 2024, at the Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, SC. Nancy's journey began in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she would later graduate from Spartanburg High School, Class of 1975.
Nancy was a strong woman, shaped by the trials of life, yet she embodied a kind-hearted spirit that touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her family was her everything, especially her son, Rodney Clary (Rikki) of Spartanburg; an unwavering love, for her grandchildren, Keri Painter (Jacob), Tyler Clary, Carter Clary, Lydia Clary, Ryleigh Thomas, Lisa Lawson, Michael Lawson, and Levi Jacob. Her heart expanded even further with the arrival of her great-grandchild, Rorie Painter.
Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for riding horses in her youth and a zest for adventure while riding with friends cruising on Harley-Davidson motorcycles, embracing the thrill of the open road.
Nancy was dearly loved by her parents, Vernon Mace Williams and Jewel Caldwell Williams, who have since passed, but their loving guidance was a foundation upon which she built her life.
As we celebrate Nancy's life, let us remember her for the love she shared, her strength forged from life’s challenges, and the light she brought to those around her.
