Nancy Ann Rudy Gidden

Nancy Ann Rudy Gidden, 86, of Spartanburg, passed away early on Tuesday morning, February 4, 2025, at Woodland Place Senior Living. She was born on September 7, 1938, in Godfrey, Illinois, a daughter of the late Wilson and Ruth Kies Rudy. 

Nancy received a Ph.D. degree in Humanities from Florida State University. She was a retired Professor of Humanities from McClennan Community College in Waco, Texas. She was of the Catholic faith. 

Surviving is her daughter, Lynn M. Williams (Tony) of Duncan, SC; her grandchildren, Amanda Brown (T.J.), Daniel Howard (Amy) and Chase Williams; her great-grandchildren, Rex Mohler and Tristan Brown; and siblings, Bob Rudy, Joyce Comer and Jim Rudy. Along with her parents, Nancy was predeceased by two sons, Culver Michael Gidden and Richard Gidden; and two brothers, Gary Rudy and Russell Rudy.
