Nancy Allen

Nancy Boukedes Allen, 81, of Moore, SC, died Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born July 13, 1935, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Nettie Irene Crocker Boukedes and James George Boukedes and stepdaughter of the late Virginia Boukedes. Mrs. Allen was an active member of St. James United Methodist Church for 50 years. She loved her bridge and sewing clubs and all the friends she and her husband made shag dancing. She was a volunteer for Mobile Meals Service and a medical transcriptionist for several physicians. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Franklin "Puz" Delano Allen of the home; son, Del Allen (Anna) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; granddaughters, Grace and Rose Allen; and sister, Mary Coggins (Bill). In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Sally Allen; sisters and brothers, Elaine Epton, Frances Burlak, George Boukedes, Jimmy Boukedes, David Boukedes, and John Boukedes. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at St. James United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Wayne Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
