Myrtle Stiles

Myrtle Elizabeth Parham Stiles, 87, died Saturday, January 11, 2014, at her residence after a long illness. Born on April 11, 1926 in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lattie Bascom and Bonnie Plemmons Parham. She was a 1986 graduate of the University of Georgia where she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, and was active in the Winterville United Methodist Church and the Georgia United Methodist Women organization for many years before her illness. Mrs. Stiles is survived by her brother, Bill Parham of Arizona; her two sons, Paul Daniel Stiles of Huntsville, TX and Phillip Bascom Stiles of Washington, DC; her grandchildren, April, Elizabeth and Julie Stiles of Athens, GA and Andrew Lucas Stiles of Philadelphia, PA. Funeral service will 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC, conducted by The Rev. George Moore and the Rev. Tac Coley. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glory Ridge, P. O. Box 363, Marshall, NC 28753.
