Myrtle Gossett Jolly, 88, of Cowpens, SC, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born, November 20, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Ella Solesby Gossett. She was first married to the late James Claude Lee and then to the late Raymond Jolly. Mrs. Jolly attended Bible Tabernacle in Cowpens and was retired from Progress Lighting. Survivors include five sisters, Nellie Turner and Brenda Frady of Cowpens, SC, Norma Stokley of Anderson, SC, Iris Hunter of Asheville, NC, and Martha Goode of Simpsonville, SC; and a brother, Bobby Gossett of Greenville, SC. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Terry Johnson and Mrs. Jolly's brother-in-law, the Rev. Jim Hunter. Burial will be in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery, Cowpens, SC. Families will be at their respective homes.
