Nelleen Humphries Deaton, 79, died Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Humphries and Annie Barbara Towery and the wife of the late Fred Forest Deaton. Mrs. Deaton retired from Playschool Manufacturing where she was a seamstress. She loved and enjoyed visiting with her neighbors and loved Pastor Don, Mrs. Linda and all her church family at Calvary Christian Assembly. Survivors include daughters, Hazel Hyleman and her husband, Jerry of Boiling Springs, SC, Carolyn Deaton of Clifton, SC, Jean Deaton of Cowpens, SC; a son, Earl Deaton and his wife, Glenda of Clifton, SC; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Baby Olivia. She was predeceased by a son, Eddie Forest "Buster" Deaton, a brother and a sister. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:45 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4081 Hwy 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316 with services following in the chapel at 2:00 PM conducted by Rev. Don Duncan. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
