Mrs. Faye Burgess

Faye Riddle Burgess, 87, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Camp Care Nursing Home in Inman, SC. Born August 13, 1925 in the Fairmont Community in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wister Guy and Edna McAbee Riddle and wife of the late Samson John "S. J." Burgess. Mrs. Burgess was a former employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing and a long time hairdresser. She was a member of West View Church and a faithful member of the choir. Survivors include a niece, Jan Hudson and her husband, a "special nephew-in-law", Tom of Moore, SC, and a nephew, James McAbee of Duncan, SC. She was predeceased by sisters, Jenny McAbee and Lucille Pearson. Visitation will be held from 12:45 to 1:45 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at West View Church, with services following at 2:00 PM conducted by Rev. Richard L. Peters. Burial will be at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 790 Highway 417, Moore, SC 29369. Memorials may be made to West View Church, 218 Wilder Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29301.
