Mr. Robert Mcguire, Sr.

Robert Eugene McGuire, Sr., 67, died Friday, August 9, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born on May 19, 1946, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Carol Wilson Hogan McGuire and the husband of Brenda Butterworth McGuire. Mr. McGuire was the owner of McGuire Insurance Agency, a member and past president of the NAIFA and served in the US Army. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa McGuire Kerns (Jeff) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, sons, Robert Eugene McGuire, Jr. (Traci) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Michael Ryan Howell (Debbie) of Colbert, GA, Richard Alan Howell (Lori) of Spartanburg, SC and Matthew Anthony McGuire (Lindsay) of Chapin, SC, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a sister, Stephanie Kaye Lawing. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 12, 2013, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 2817 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Rev. Keith Davis. Visitation will follow the service at Zion Hill Baptist Church.
