Mr. Marshall Mccraw

Marshall D. McCraw, "Dude", 82, died Friday, November 29, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 9, 1931 in Spartanburg, SC he was the son of the late Romeo and Molly Smith McCraw. Mr. McCraw served eight years in the United States Navy on the USS Forrestal, four years in the United States Army and four years in the United States Air Force. He was an electrician with Davis Electric at Cryovac for 28 years, a Shriner, and Mason at Beaumont-Mill Village Lodge. Mr. McCraw loved NASCAR, especially David Pearson, Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr., football, the Carolina Panthers, baseball and the Atlanta Braves. He was a member of the Men's Bible Class, the Golden Circle, and Beaumont Baptist Church. He loved Ike's Korner Grill. Mr. McCraw is survived by his wife, Shirley Thomason McCraw; a son, James McCraw (Cathy) of Munford, TN; step-sons, Regi Thomason (Hailey) and Hal Thomason (Tracy) both of Boiling Springs, SC; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Addilee Hancock of Boiling Springs, SC and Grace Harris of Spartanburg, SC; and special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Marshall McCraw Jr., two brothers and four sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church Street, Roebuck, SC 29376, conducted by Rev. John Cox, Rev. Rupert E. Guest, and Rev. Steven A. McLain. Memorials may be made to Beaumont Baptist Church, 945 Beaumont Avenue Ext., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
