Mr. Charles Worthy, Sr.

Charles Victor Worthy Sr., 75, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, November 27, 2013 at his home. Born October 30, 1938 in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Robert Victor and Alice Louise Guyton Worthy. Mr. Worthy served in the United States Air Force and was a retired welder-fabricator with Menzel Inc. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Betty L. Peterson Worthy; sons, Chuck Worthy (Karen) of Duncan, and Scott Worthy (Sabrina) of Spartanburg; granddaughters, Katie, Caroline, Morgan, and Hanna Worthy and grandson, Andrew Worthy. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tracy Michelle Worthy. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 2, 2013, at Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372, conducted by Rev. Bob Buhl.
