Mitchell Allen Bradley, 63, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on March 30, 2025. Born on February 4, 1962, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Leonard and the late Sara McCullough Bradley.
Mitch attended Boiling Springs High School and cherished his hometown. After proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, he returned home and carried on his family’s legacy by running Bradley’s Stop n Shop on Rainbow Lake Road, originally opened by his father in 1955. In 1989, he opened Bradley’s Redi-Mart on Highway 357 in Holly Springs, where he became a beloved figure of the community and was known for giving generously to local schools and neighbors in need.
Mitch deeply loved the Lord and held firm to his faith. He attended Holly Springs Baptist Church for many years and served with fellow members of the “Men on Missions” team. Mitch was also a member of the Spartanburg Hejaz Shriners where he aided in supporting hospitals for children. Mitch enjoyed many things. He loved racing-especially NASCAR. In his younger years, he raced in the Bandolero, Thunder and Lightning, and Legends divisions, collecting many wins and earning a championship title in Legends. He also delighted in woodworking and had a great talent for using his hands to create things for others. Mitch had a deep devotion to his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and large extended family. He loved his breakfast at Bojangles with friends, and you wouldn’t find him anywhere else on Tuesday nights but at Carter’s–his own personal Cheers, where everyone knew his name. Mitch had an infectious laugh and a knack for telling stories–though most of us laughed harder at him trying to get through the joke than the punchline itself. Loving and serving his family and friends was his favorite way to spend his time. He will be deeply missed.
Mitch was predeceased in death by his parents, his sisters Donna Bradley Seay and Debbie Bradley Crowe, his nephew Adam Bradley Crowe, and his great niece Kirby Faith Bradley.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Bradley, daughter Bonnie Bradley-Yunt (Clayton), son Zackary Allen Bradley (Rachael), and brother Steve Bradley (Kelli). He also leaves behind a beloved “sister-in-law”, Tammy Holland Bradley, brother-in-law, Michael G.Seay, his favorite lunch partner, Bill Cooper and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.
Visitation will be held between 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel.
