Minnie Smith

Minnie Sprouse Smith, 81, of Spartanburg, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born June 7, 1930 in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Blanton Sprouse and wife of the late William Jessie Smith. Mrs. Smith was retired from Mayfair Mills and a member of North Spartanburg Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Stevens and husband Bobby of Arcadia; two sons, Larry Smith and wife Mary of Inman and Todd Smith and wife Neecie of Pauline; brother, E. W. Sprouse of Arcadia; two sisters, Alma Brown of Inman and Mary Cash of Converse; ten grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by Pastor Mitchel Edge. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside. Mrs. Smith will be available for viewing at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel Tuesday, October 18, 2011 until 9:00 PM and Wednesday, October 19, 2011 until 10:00 AM. The family is at their respective homes.
