Miles Fleming, Jr.

Miles Roland "Junior" Fleming, Jr., 72, of 1280 Highway 56, died Monday, March 29, 2010, at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care after a long illness. Born May 11, 1937, in Pauline, SC, he was the son of the late Miles Roland and Lola Mae Bull Fleming. He was retired from SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT) after 33 years of service, attended Golightly United Methodist Church, and was a member of Calhoun Masonic Lodge #81 of Pauline and the Hejaz Temple. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Margie Nolen Fleming; a son, Timothy Dale Fleming and his wife Patti Fleming of Boiling Springs; three grandchildren, Tyler, Peyton, and Tinsley Fleming; a foster grandchild, Stone; three sisters, Myrtle Wyatt and Frances Fleming of Pauline, and Irene Fleming Owens of Roebuck; and four brothers, Cecil and David Fleming of Pauline, Albert Fleming of Spartanburg, and Rev. Larry Fleming of Mayo. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Graveside services with Masonic rites will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Dr. Louis D. Jamison, the Rev. Larry Fleming, and Pastor Todd Black. Memorials may be made to Golightly United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. Louis Jamison, 34 Coastline Drive, Inman, SC 29349.
