Mildred Lipscomb Steadman, 84, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, October 27, 2012, at White Oak Estates. Born September 29, 1928, in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Washington Lipscomb, Sr. and Lillie Fair Sligh Lipscomb and the widow of Claude W. Steadman. She was a former teller at SC National Bank for 38 years and a member of Roebuck Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Survivors include a daughter, Claudette Cunnold and husband David; grandson, Andrew David Cunnold, all of Alpharetta, GA; sisters, Merlyn Willard and Theresa Black of Spartanburg; a brother, Mervin Lipscomb of Spartanburg; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Adeline Phillips and a brother, Thomas Lipscomb. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, October 29, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tim Williams and the Rev. Ondra Black. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
