Mildred Kasch

Mildred Seay Gilbert Kasch was born May 30, 1926 in Pacolet, SC. Her parents were the late Kimsey and Dora Seay. She passed away July 24, 2014 at the West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, GA. Mrs. Kasch lived most of her life in Spartanburg, SC. She moved to LaGrange in August 2013 and resided at Vernon Woods. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Spartanburg and attended the Ruth Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange. She is survived by a son, Howard Gilbert and his wife Ginny of LaGrange, GA; granddaughter, Kim Gilbert Wilkes and her husband Ashley and great-grandchildren, Madison, Maggie, and Matthew of Powder Springs, GA; grandson, Kyle Clayton Gilbert and his wife Jennifer and great-grandchildren, Kyla and Clair of Crawfordville, FL; two sisters, Eloise Mathis of Cowpens, SC and Nelleen Seay of Pacolet, SC; one brother, Donnie Seay and his wife Kathleen of Spartanburg, SC; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Southside Baptist Church, 316 S. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306, by the Rev. Schuyler Peterson. A private family burial will be in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens prior to the service. The family will receive friends at Southside Baptist Church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, GA 30240; the Ruth Sunday School Class at First Baptist on the Square, 207 West Haralson Street, LaGrange, GA 30240; or Southside Baptist Church, 316 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306 in memory of Mildred Kasch.
