Mildred Horne

Mildred Millwood Horne, 88, of Cowpens, SC, died Monday, August 20, 2012, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born December 9, 1923, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the widow of Jess Willard Horne, and daughter of the late Neal A. and Era Mullinax Millwood. Mrs. Horne was retired from John H. Montgomery Mill, Chesnee, SC, and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Cowpens, SC. Surviving are her son, John W. Horne and wife Myra of Fort Smith, AR; grandchildren, Meredith Oliver and husband Erick of Sallisaw, OK, and Caleb Horne of Little Rock, AR; three great-grandchildren, Amity Faith Oliver, Ashton Erick Oliver, and Ariel Grace Oliver; and a brother, Rev. Bill Millwood of Cowpens, SC. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 24, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 25, 2012, in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, by the Rev. Dr. Robert Kirby, Jr. Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church Building Fund, 250 Mt. Olive Road, Cowpens, SC 29330.
