Mildred Harmon Hopper, 93, of Cowpens, died Sunday morning, December 30, 2012, at Rosecrest of Inman. Mrs. Hopper was born August 30, 1919 in Inman, SC, a daughter of the late T. B. and Lillian Settle Harmon and she was the widow of Arthur Guyan Hopper, Sr. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church of Cowpens and retired teacher from Spartanburg School District 3 after 42 years of service. Surviving are her daughter, Ann Hopper Stapleton and her husband, Randy, of Inman; her son, Arthur Guyan Hopper, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of Cowpens; and her grandchildren, Arthur Guyan "Trey" Hopper, III and Caroline Elisabeth Hopper, both of Cowpens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Salem United Methodist Church, 5425 North Main Street, Cowpens, SC 29330. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. John Howle. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
