Mildred Holland

Mildred Waldrep Holland, 91, of 2 Spring Street, Drayton, SC, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at her home. Born December 15, 1921, in Watts Mill, Laurens County, SC, she was the widow of Franklin Herbert Holland and daughter of the late William Guy and Minnie Campbell Waldrep. Mrs. Holland was a member of Skylyn United Methodist Church, taught the kindergarten class at church for 65 years, and was a member of The United Methodist Women. Survivors include her daughter, Toni Holland Holder (David) of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Reanza Waldrep Easler of Spartanburg, SC, and Joleen Waldrep Bonner (who lovingly cared for her eight years) of Drayton, SC; brother, William Loran Waldrep of Drayton, SC; adopted daughter, Nancy Brannon Littlefield of AL; two adopted grandchildren, Conley Brannon and Dana B. Caudell; very special friend, Bessie S. Christopher of Spartanburg, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Terry Franklin Holland; and sisters, Guy Nell Waldrep Bingham and Helen Vivian Waldrep. Visitation will be 1:00-2:15 PM Friday, February 15, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David B. Smith, the Rev. Timothy M. Gossett, and the Rev. John Elmore. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Journey Hospice, 351 E. Blackstock Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301; or Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
