Mildred Gaydos

Mildred Louise Duckett Gaydos, 91, wife of the late James T. “Toots” Gaydos, passed on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional-Mary Black Campus.  Born on May 20, 1930, in Union, a daughter of the late Guy Jerome and Bessie Anderson Duckett.

She was a member of Ben Avon Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Debra Sanders; grandchildren, Charlotte Willard (Wally), Brandi Reynolds (Scott), and Robert Bailey (Taura); 17 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy M. Gaydos, a son, Alan Gaydos; 15 siblings. Mildred was the last of the original Duckett family to join her siblings in their Heavenly home.

Funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.  Interment will be in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens.
