Mildred Elledge

Mildred Sanders Elledge, 86, of Inman, SC, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Golden Age Nursing Home-Inman. Born June 23, 1927, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Copher and Eva Beatrice Cothran Sanders, and widow of Edward M. Elledge. Mrs. Elledge was retired from Raycord Industries after 35 years of service. She was a graduate of Roebuck High School and a charter member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include her brothers, Manuel Sanders (Sue) and Cary Sanders (Jeanne), all of Roebuck, SC; sister-in-law, Annette Sanders of Roebuck, SC; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by three sisters, Mary Pettit, Louella Alverson, and Jean Cromer; and a brother, Joe Sanders. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Danny Garrett. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Cudd Memorial Baptist Church, 1301 Boiling Springs Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at their respective homes.
