Mildred Dallara

Mildred Doolittle Prickett Dallara, 86, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at her home. Born November 2, 1925, in Watkinsville, GA, she was the widow of Harry Anthony Joseph "Paul" Dallara, and daughter of the late Charlie Brannon and Annie Cleo Flannagin Doolittle. Mrs. Dallara retired as personnel supervisor from Milliken & Company after 28 years of service. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church with over 50 years of service, a member of the H. F. Chreitzburg Sunday School Class, the Senior Adult Council, and the Altar Guild. Surviving are her daughters, Bette Hodges and Barbara Pollard, both of Spartanburg, and Kim Pankratz and husband Mark of Greer; son, Bobby Prickett and wife Sandra of Gainesville, GA; step-sons, Charles Harry Dallara of Oak Hill, VA, and Dale Louis Dallara of Columbia, SC; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris McClung of Athens, GA. She was predeceased by a grandson, Chip Hodges; and a brother, Willis B. Doolittle. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Bethel United Methodist Church, by the Rev. David B. Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 245 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306; or a charity of one's choice.
