Mildred Brown

Mildred Ezell Brown, 84, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the home of her daughter. Born July 25, 1928, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Osier Frederick and Sina Delina Vandiver Ezell, and the widow of Charles L. Brown. Mrs. Brown retired from C & S National Bank in Columbia after 12 years of service. Survivors include her children, Teresa Simpson Jones (Ricky) of Pacolet, SC, and George "Butch" Smith (Heidi) of Boiling Springs, SC; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; beloved pet Sheila; and special friends, Cathy and Leon Cunningham. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Lee Smith; and sisters, Betty Lou Hall and Miriam Stogner. Visitation will be 1:00-2:45 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Tessnier and Mr. Elliott Hamrick. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or March of Dimes Upstate SC Division, 37 Villa Road Suite 317 B-123, Greenville, SC 29615.
