Michael Pruitt

Michael L. Pruitt, 61, of Spartanburg, SC, died at his home. Born June 26, 1956 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Henry Martindale Pruitt, Jr. and Mary Laurens Pruitt. Michael was a Spartanburg Methodist College graduate and was formerly employed with BMW. Michael was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg where he was a former member of the Praise Team. He was a loving father who cherished time with friends and family and was devoted to his Lord. His love for others was selfless and unconditional. Mike enjoyed fishing and the great outdoors. He volunteered with HALTER at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind. Survivors include a daughter, Addison Grace Pruitt of Roebuck, SC; a son, Chandler Hyatt Pruitt of Colorado Springs, CO; and a stepdaughter, Taylor Marie Weaver of Roebuck, SC; a sister, Vicky Pruitt Parris (Richard) of Savannah, GA; a brother, M. Dale Pruitt (Laurie) of Spartanburg, SC; and a twin brother, Patrick R. Pruitt of Greenville, SC. Visitation will be 1:30 - 2:45 PM Friday, June 1, 2018 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Celebration of his Life will be at 3:00 PM, at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Tyler Kirby. The family request that no flowers be sent.
