Michael King

Michael Bryan King, 57, graduated to Heaven after a long battle with cancer on April 30, 2014, at Baptist Medical. Born July 25, 1956, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Geneva King, of Spartanburg, and the late Calvin King. He was raised in Spartanburg and moved to St. Augustine, FL just six months ago. Mike was a missionary, currently serving as a missionary pastor at Brighton Beach Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Spartanburg. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine King; children, Melissa, Jessica, and Joshua King, all of St. Augustine; sisters, Brenda Jane Epps of Spartanburg and Kay Lee of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Calvin Terry King of St. Augustine. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Trinity Baptist Church, 390 Wingo Heights Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303, conducted by Missionary Jay Brandon, Missionary Joshua Jett, and Missionary Terry King.
