Michael Hugh Hogan Sr., 59, of 140 Providence Road, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Gibbs Cancer Center. Born February 9, 1951, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Geneva Cash Hogan and the late Walter Harvey Hogan. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, he was the owner of Hogan Welding Supply, a former Spartanburg School District Three board member, an avid vintage car enthusiast, and a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Christine McMackin Hogan; three sons, Michael H. Hogan Jr. and his wife Alena of Union, Christopher McMackin Hogan "Mac" and his wife Anne-Elizabeth of Spartanburg, and Walter Matthew Hogan and his wife Sarah of Inman; three grandchildren, Coleman Lynn, Hudson Lee, and Elizabeth Grace Hogan; and his brother, Donald Hogan and his wife Pat of Pacolet. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Lee Hogan. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely. Visitation will follow at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. Pallbearers will be Conrad Allen, Larry Stott, Billy Gossett, George Gentry, Doug Patterson, and Brian Lemmonds.
