Michael Harrell

Michael Ray Harrell, 60, of Pacolet, SC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Born October 19, 1960 in Port St. Joe, FL, he was the son of Eleanor Ann Harrell and the late Perry Daniel Harrell.

Mike was a 1979 graduate of Spartanburg High School. He was of the Baptist faith. “Wildman” was a wildlife trapper who loved hunting, fishing, and coaching girls softball. He enjoyed farming and having a fish fry with the family. Mike was a devoted Husband, Father, and Papa, who was loved by all.

Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Susan Gilmer Harrell, his children, Michelle Gregory (Roger) of Pacolet, SC, Zach Harrell (Jennifer) of Roebuck, SC, Kristin Hartranft (Rob) of Spartanburg, SC, grandchildren, Cody Gregory, Trent Gregory, Jeremy Cabrera, Nora Harrell and June Harrell, his brothers, Danny Harrell (Becky), Gary Harrell (Theresa) and Mark Harrell (Karen), numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Best Friend, David “Peanut” Scoggins.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, May 17, 2021 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Ralph Jett and The Rev. Chip Coleman.

The family will assemble at the home of Mrs. Ann Harrell.
