Michael Erwin

Michael Kenneth Erwin, 60, of Converse, SC, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 2, 2014. Born November 29, 1953, in Gaffney, SC, he was the son of the late John Joe Erwin, Sr. and Eula Faye Childers Erwin. Mr. Erwin loved gardening, fishing, boating, and feeding his hummingbirds. He was a retired pipefitter and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his children, Michael Gregory Erwin of Converse, SC, Kenneth Wayne Erwin (fiancé, Odessa King) of Cowpens, SC, Lisa Faulks (Timothy) of Spartanburg, SC, Teresa Huckabee (John) of Converse, SC, and Samantha Heavner (Jason) of Lincolnton, NC; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe Erwin and Steve Erwin, both of Spartanburg, SC; and sister, Susie Russell of Spartanburg, SC. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Alexis Huckabee; sister, Judy Erwin; and brother, Randy Erwin. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Burial will be in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC 29330. The family is at the home of his sister, Susie Russell, 610 River Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
