Michael Lee Duffie, 67, of Spartanburg, SC, died February 1, 2016, at Brookdale at Skylyn-Spartanburg. Born September 24, 1948, in Birmingham, AL, he was the son of the late Arlett Jessie and Virginia Evelyn Horton Duffie. A U. S. Air Force veteran and Mason, Mr. Duffie was employed with Venture Measurements for 43 years. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Carolyn Ostrowski Duffie of the home; stepson, Patrick Raff of Spartanburg, SC; stepdaughter, Dawn Ford (Joe) of Virginia; grandson, Dominique Raff of Orlando, FL; granddaughters, Rebekka and Rachel Ford of Virginia; sisters, Cheryl Harvey (Dean) of Blacksburg, SC; brother, Jesse "Skipper" Duffie (Pat) of Cowpens, SC; aunts, Frances Coyle and Betty Ellis; several nieces and nephews; a great-nephew; and a great-niece. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Timmie Duffie; sister, Jean Carol "Judy" Hughey; and aunt, Minnie Hill. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 6, 2016, at New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 210 Rainbow Lake Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316, by the Rev. Terry Fleming. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The family is at their respective homes.
