Mervin Mullins, 71, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, December 19, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born July 8, 1941, in Pikeville, KY, he was the son of the late Lee Frank and Evelyn Meade Mullins. A Vietnam veteran of the U. S. Marines, Mr. Mullins retired from Siemens Automation and Energy. He was of the Christian faith and loved riding horses with friends in Croft State Park. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Rita Lynn McCravy Mullins; son, Brian Mullins and family of Woodruff; grandchildren, Niki Mullins and Brandi Mullins, both of Woodruff; sisters, Bertha Gross of Jackson, OH, Emma Lee Giaonne and Dora Leviscer, both of Buchannon, WV, and Geneva Mullins of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Tony Mullins of Lillington, NC; daughter-in-law, Amy Mullins of Spartanburg, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Rev. Mark Lee Mullins; sister, Barbara Jean Hullette; and brothers, Glen Mullins and Clinton Mullins. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Private services will be held at a later date.
