Merrill White

Merrill Ann Smith White, 81, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born December 21, 1934, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd B. and Annie Ruth Trail Smith and widow of Donald Lloyd White. Mrs. White was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and retired from Arrow Automotive. Survivors include her children, Jimmy White (Ann) of Roebuck, SC, Bobby White (Cindy) of Roebuck, SC, Dennis White (Priscilla) of Hobbysville, SC, Brenda Chumley of Moore, SC, Norma White of Roebuck, SC, Donna Littlefield (Ernie) of Moore, SC, and Renee Eaton (Jimmy) of Moore, SC; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Billy White, formerly of Roebuck, SC. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3119 Hwy 56, Pauline, SC 29374. Funeral services follow at 11:00 AM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Greg Butler and the Rev. Fred S. Quidley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at their respective homes.
