Mazie Corrine Waddell Lawing, 78, of Spartanburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 13, 1933 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Nettie Whitt Waddell. Mrs. Lawing was retired from Wachovia Bank and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a former member of Thompson's Chapel where she was a Sunday School teacher, past president of WMU, and previously served as church treasurer. Survivors, in addition to her husband, James "Bo" Lawing, Sr, are three sons, Terry Lawing and wife Nancy of Union, James A. Lawing, Jr. and wife Emma, and Michael Lawing and wife Debbie all of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Stacy Lawson and her husband Rev. Chad Lawson, Tori Lawing, Chris Lawing and wife Kristy, Rena Burnett and husband Bobby, Brittany Lawing, Nick Lawing, Jennifer Chaney, and Ashley Chaney; six great-grandchildren, Hunter Lawson, Erica Corrine Burnett, Bobby "Bo" Burnett, Jami Davis, Kalynn Directo, and Damon Carter Lawing; and her beloved pets, Mazie Mae and Sammy. She was predeceased by a brother, Elbert Seay. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, March 19, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Burial will be in Danial Morgan Memorial Gardens.
