Maxine Mcbee

Maxine Christy McBee, 83, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. Born December 22, 1928, in Iredell County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Junius A. and Edna Lambert Christy and widow of Cevil Donald McBee. She was retired from Southern Bell and was of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors include a sister, Margaret C. Cook of Cleveland, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Vivian Cook Thelma Turman, Colleen McCoy, and Gladys Heath; two brothers, Kenneth Christy and Fleming Christy. Visitation will be 12:00-12:45 PM Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
