Maxine Robertson Lee, 81, formerly of Canaan Rd., Roebuck, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Cottages at Brushy Creek in Greer. Born July 16, 1929, in Arcadia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Webb and Lois Mae Bagwell Robertson and the widow of John Boyce "J. B." Lee, Jr. Maxine was a member of Roebuck United Methodist Church where she served as Chairman of the Pastor-Parish Committee. She was also a member of the American Business Women's Association. She retired from the Mary Black Business Office and Spartanburg Regional Business Office. Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Miller Shafer of Boiling Springs; two sons, David R. Miller and Boyce Lee III; six grandchildren, Daniel C. Camp, Madeline Shafer, Alisha Thomas, Rachel Miller, Taylor Lee and Morgan Lee; four great-grandchildren; and companion Isaac Jasper Wofford. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jones Brewer and the Rev. Ralph May. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home of Deborah Shafer, 323 Courson Court, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
